Doenjang Hummus Dip

Inspired by the innovative JANG cookbook from Michelin-starred Chef Mingoo Kang, this recipe offers a modern and irresistible twist on hummus. Experience a unique depth of flavor, rich in probiotics thanks to the incorporation of Korean fermented ingredients.

Ingredients

8 oz canned chickpea

1 tablespoon sesame seeds, finely ground

1 1/2 tablespoon doenjang

1 1/2 teaspoon honey

1/2 lemon juiced

2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil + extra for drizzle

pinch of gochugaru or paprika for garnish

pinch of toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Choose your favorite market vegetables cut into bite size pieces or chips to serve.

In a blender mix the chick peas + 1/2 of liquid from the can. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend as you drizzle the olive oil until its smooth and creamy texture.
